New Delhi, Feb.2 (ANI): The Election Commission has expressed its disatisfation with the replies forwared to it by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) General Secretary Sukhbir Singh Badal and 10 other candidates who are in the fray for this month's assembly polls in Punjab after they were warned for violating the Model Code of Conduct.

Election Commission sources said that all eleven have been warned again against violating the MCC in the future.

Besides Badal, the others warned included six Congress candidates, three SAD candidatesand one Bahujan Samaj Party candidate.

Badal was charged with using a helicopter to ferry him to a public meeting in breach of security guidelines. He had also not taken permission from the district authorities to land his copter, sources said.

The six Congress candidates, who were given warnings, were Partap Singh Bajwa (Kahnuwan), his brother Fate Jung Singh Bajwa (Sri Hargobindpur), Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa (Qadian), Jagmohan Singh Kang (Morinda), Ramesh Chander Dogra (Dasuya) and Gurkanwal Kaur (Jalandhar Cantt.).

The three SAD candidates were Jagbir Singh Brar (Jalandhar Cantt), Balbir Singh Miani (Tanda) and Raghbir Singh (Kapurthala) while the one from BSP was Kapil Batra (Jalandhar Cantt). (ANI)
